- Abstract
The article reports on the role that social capital plays in helping young adults with high incidence disabilities gain access to other forms of capital when they face challenges related to their disability as they become involved in employment, postsecondary education and community. The ways in which young adults with high incidence disabilities connect with social networks during their transition to adulthood are discussed. Research which investigated the benefits that social capital provides to students with high incidence disabilities is examined.
