Keywords: Diversity and inclusion; residency; graduate medical education; otolaryngology-head and neck surgery EN Diversity and inclusion residency graduate medical education otolaryngology-head and neck surgery 1306 1307 2 05/11/23 20230601 NES 230601 INTRODUCTION Since the shift to virtual residency interviews during the COVID-19 pandemic, program websites have garnered increased attention for recruitment of residency applicants.[1] Residency program recruitment practices, as recommended by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education in its 2019 update to the Common Program Requirements, should include efforts to recruit a diverse and inclusive workforce.[2] Promoting diversity and inclusion (D&I) on program websites may help attract individuals underrepresented in medicine (UIM) - self-reported Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, and mainland Puerto Rican[[3]] - and female applicants to particular programs.[[1], [5]] Prior studies suggest that most otolaryngology-head and neck surgery (OHNS) program websites lack sufficient information relative to what applicants would find useful.[6] Information relating to D&I may be particularly inadequate.
