- Abstract
This article discusses a study that aimed to assess the diagnostic accuracy of the revised Morphologic Uterus Sonographic Assessment (MUSA) criteria for adenomyosis. The study involved a retrospective review of 96 patients who underwent hysterectomy following ultrasound assessment. The results showed that the modified MUSA criteria had a sensitivity of 63.2% and a specificity of 65.5% compared to histology. The interrater agreement between the two ultrasound examiners was 72.9%. The study concludes that while the modified MUSA criteria can be a useful tool in the diagnosis and management of adenomyosis, it is not highly specific or sensitive.
