- Title
On the 60th anniversary of the Korean War armistice agreement.
- Authors
Kim Yeon-chul
- Abstract
The author reflects on the 60th anniversary of the armistice agreement that ended the combat phase of the Korean War. It is asserted that the agreement only led to a ceasefire, and the Military Armistice Commission has long since stopped being able to maintain the armistice system on the Korean Peninsula, as the agreement is not being adhered to and antagonism still exists in the Demilitarized Zone. Turning the armistice system into a permanent peace regime is suggested.
