- Abstract
The article comments on the novel of Gabriel Garcia Márquez and the play of Federico Garcia Lorca, which both depict on the significance of the code of honor. The Columbian fiction "Crónica de una muerte anunciada" and the tragical play "Bodas de sangre" have distinct style of portrayal, but were based on true stories of unlucky love affairs. Sexual roles and standards were the highlights of the two works.
