- Abstract
The article presents a comparison of the histamine release test (HR-test), and serum skin test (ASST). Twenty patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria and positive autologous serum skin test (ASST) were studied. The subjects were asked to stop antihistamine and steroids for two days, and doxepin for three weeks before the ASST. Results showed that HR-Test should be done to diagnose autoimmune urticaria.
