- Title
CARING FOR INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES IN ADVANCED CHEMISTRY.
- Authors
Hannan, Herbert H.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the efforts of educators in the U.S. for responding to individual needs in advanced high school chemistry. A second year of chemistry was first offered to the students of Dickinson High School, Dickinson, Texas, in the fall of 1958. The course was the last science course of the school's science program for the academically talented. Semimicro methods and apparatus played the major role in the laboratory. Semimicro chemistry laboratory techniques involve the use of smaller apparatus and smaller amounts of chemicals than does the macro laboratory method.
