- Authors
RAPPLE, CHARLIE; LAMBERT, JO
- Abstract
In this article, the authors discuss the promotion of the use of academic electronic resources in Great Britain. The article notes that the Information Environment Service Registry (IESR) is intended to present information and essential metadata about online publications, resources and research collections to encourage their greater awareness and use. IESR is also intended to assist publishers, librarians, and other content or service providers who work with electronic publications. Publishers can submit information about their available material so that it can be checked and downloaded by cataloguers.
