- Abstract
This article focuses on former world heavyweight boxing champion Tommy Burns. The authors believe that Burns legitimate status as champion was complex and that he made significant contributions to the development of modern professional boxing. Evidence suggests that Burns was competent in the sports of football, basketball, hockey and lacrosse.
