- Abstract
The article argues that knowledge is a natural kind and that current work on cognitive ethology employs a certain theory of knowledge. Knowledge plays an important explanatory function in these theories. It is also pointed out that the theory of knowledge which explains cognitive ethology is a proper object of philosophical interest.
