- Abstract
The article informs that open-cell nickel foam is well suited for battery application and is involved for instance in portable computers and mobile phones. The use of light highly conductive foams leads to considerable increase of the energy density. The mechanical properties of nickel foam at the temperature range between minus 20 degree Celsius and plus 40 degree Celsius are the most important because battery is used in this temperature range in a general way; but there are applications, as in conditions of extreme work, when the range of temperature is much wider.
