- Abstract
The article offers information on Radish mosaic virus (RaMV), a member of the genus Comovirus of the family Comoviridae. Comoviruses have two-positive, single-stranded genomic RNA, which are encapsidated into separate spherical virions. RaMV mainly infects cruciferous plants, unlike most members of the genus Comovirus, which predominantly infect plants of the Leguminosae family. Non-legume-infecting comoviruses, including RaMV, are distantly related to legume-infecting comoviruses.
