- Abstract
The article presents a retrospective cohort study in critically ill sepsis-3 patients to determine the diagnostic accuracy of C-reactive protein (CRP) and procalcitonin (PCT) in their plasma. Also cited are the use of the Mann-Whitney U-test and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis in the study, and the need for biomarkers to detect microbacteriological-proven sepsis.
