- Abstract
The Defense Civilian Training Corps (DCTC) is a talent development initiative established by Congress to strengthen the talent pipeline for the Department of Defense (DoD) civilian acquisition workforce. Led by the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, the DCTC partners with academia to provide an integrated curriculum and development approach to instill critical skills, behaviors, and character in scholars. The DCTC aims to foster a Culture of Care that promotes human connection, resilience, and innovation. The first cohort of DCTC scholars, representing diverse academic, geographic, and demographic backgrounds, will graduate in 2025.
