- Abstract
New detailed geological maps of the Apollo landing sites are being produced by integrating multiple datasets from various modern spacecraft. The datasets include albedo, topographic, and spectral observations at a range of resolutions. These new geological maps are being used for various studies including selection of homogenous areas for crater-size frequency distribution measurements for testing the lunar cratering chronology [1-6], searching for sample sources and understanding the geological setting of the samples [7], planning of future missions [8], and other scientific queries [9].
