- Abstract
This article discusses the impact of discontinuing tirzepatide, a medication used to treat type 2 diabetes, on glycemic control and body weight. The study found that stopping tirzepatide for 4 weeks resulted in a slight deterioration in glycemic control and body weight. However, a significant proportion of patients still maintained stable or improved glycemic control and weight loss during the off-treatment period. These findings suggest that continued treatment with tirzepatide is necessary to maintain the benefits of improved glycemic control and weight reduction.
