- Abstract
The article presents a case report of a 70-year-old female patient, who presented with an itchy sensation in both forearms with pain. The cutaneous examination of the patient revealed ulcerative lesions, eschars and exudates. The skin biopsy results showed dense granulomatous inflammation with multiple mixed inflammatory cells including neutrophils and eosinophils. It mentions protothecosis as a rare infection treated by voriconazole.
