Pesticide Policies Change Slowly.
- Authors

- Abstract
Since the 1962 publication of Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring" pesticides have been an issue of public concern. Chemical pesticide use has increased tenfold in the last 20 years, yet about a third of our crops are still lost to pests. Well-publicized events, for example, the discovery of ethylene dibromide (EDB) in some Florida wells, have drawn new public attention to pesticides.
