- Abstract
The article presents the study which explored the possible effects of childhood trauma on white matter microstructural changes in healthy young adults. In the study, voxel-based diffusion tensor imaging (DFI) was used to examine alterations in fractional anisotropy (FA) values in a group of young healthy adults. Based on the results, childhood trauma is linked with reduced microstructural integrity of the white matter in adulthood.
