- Title
Pay gone astray: the failure of executive incentive schemes.
- Authors
Powdrill, Tom
- Abstract
The article discusses the factors that contributed to the failure of executive remuneration schemes in Great Britain. One notable factor is the implementation of a mandatory shareholder vote on executive pay in 2002, contributing to the rejection of several remuneration reports by shareholders. Great Britain Prime Minister David Cameron also gave shareholders the power over remuneration pay. The state of pay, problems with performance pay, and debate over rewards are also discussed.
