- Abstract
The article presents a case of a 42-year-old female who was presented to replace her failing mechanical mitral valve prosthesis. Based on a complete baseline transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), she has a large independently mobile filamentous mass in her right atrium (RA), attached to the non-heparin-coated pulmonary artery catheter (PAC). Cardiopulmonary bypass was implemented following full heparinization and surgery.
