- Abstract
The article discusses ethical approaches related to informed consent in emergency research. These include the without-consent model which presumes that as long as welfare interest of patients are preserved, this applies to their autonomy interests, prospective informed consent wherein researchers try to obtain the consent from as many members of the high-risk group, and integrated clinical consent procedure. Also discussed are authorized representative consent and deferred informed consent.
