- Abstract
The article discusses how the Pennsylvania legislature can better support schools in the state to meet the needs of students with trauma. Topics include an overview of trauma and trauma-informed practices in the state, an evaluation of the ways schools address or ignore this problem in Pennsylvania and elsewhere, and examples of legislative efforts to address this societal problem in the state. Also cited is the failure of schools to implement the state Senate Bill 144 on traumatized students.
