- Title
Leaders' Views on Engaging Stakeholders in Assessment.
- Authors
Banta, Trudy W.
- Abstract
The article questions how assessment specialists and graduate students assist faculty in implementing assessment initiatives. A telephone interview with eleven top administrators including chief executives and student affairs officers, revealed that most of the leaders hold a fundamental belief that finding ways to improve student learning can be a catalyst for positive change in their institution. On the other hand, some leaders responded that intrinsic motivation is the key to involve faculty and staff engagement in the assessment strategy.
