- Abstract
In an article published in Advanced Functional Materials, researchers Huanzhong Liu, Yunxia Cao, Gang Zhao, and their colleagues present a multi-scale ice inhibition platform that effectively prevents ice crystal formation and other detrimental effects during cryopreservation. By using this platform, the researchers were able to successfully preserve mouse oocytes with high efficiency using low concentrations of cryoprotective agents. The preserved oocytes maintained their normal fertilization, embryonic development, and resulted in the birth of healthy offspring. This research shows promising potential for achieving high-quality fertility preservation.
