- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the global distribution of extended-spectrim beta-lactanase (ESBL) extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli (ExPEC). The study investigated the ability of diarrheagenic E. coli to cause extraintestinal infections. It analyzed DNA from samples to determine the presence of the EAEC transport regulator gene (aggR).
