- Abstract
The article discusses a study that examined the quantitative relation between the total sum of sudden acceleration changes (TSSAC) produced during pneumatic tube system (PTS) transport and its hemolytic effect on plasma samples from healthy volunteers. Intra- and interindividual susceptibility to hemolysis was determined by applying a mixed-effects regression linear model. The results indicated a strong linear relation between the TSSAC and hemolysis degree.
