- Abstract
The article focuses on prescribing antibiotics for acute bronchitis in Taiwan and the U.S. It discusses the impact of Taiwan's government policy on Taiwanese physicians' prescribing attitude, and mentions that Taiwan Bureau of National Health Insurance (BNHI) database was investigated to analyse the trend of antibiotic prescription in acute bronchitis. It states that BNHI's reimbursement laws for upper respiratory tract infections, discouraged antibiotic prescription by physicians.
