- Title
The Heteronomy of Conscience and Reason in Man.
- Abstract
This paper studies the relation between conscience and reason as two autonomous sources of the sense in man. Reason is considered here as based on the principle of a reflective logico-ontological self-sufficiency. The conscience, respectively, is viewed as based on the principle of the spontaneous and free affiliation to a transcendent source of regulative sense. These two higher faculties, being founded on different principles, in some circumstances fall into heteronomy. The thesis proposed sis that the ascertaining of a subordinative accordance between the reason and the conscience can be considered as the way from this heteronomy.
