- Abstract
The article discusses the highlights of the Film Music Conference that was held at the University of Leeds in England on July 11, 1998. The conference was attended by about 50 scholars, composers and other interested parties. It was organized by Kate Daubney of Leeds, who started the day with an examination of the impact of composer John Barry on James Bond films. Replacement speaker discussed the problem of the integration of the soundtrack, its music and its sound effects or dialogue. A paper was also presented by doctoral student Heather Laing.
