- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of the study concerning the effects of mechanical force produced by blood flows on gene expression and development of cardiovascular disease. The researchers found that mutation prevents the normal rotational movement of the outflow tract essential for artery's remodeling in the sixth arc. It indicates that blood flow and symmetric expression of vascular endothelial growth factors affect the regression of the vessels due to the loss of left and right arteries in the sixth arch. However, hemodynamic effects on cardiovascular abnormalities in mice is not yet recognized.
