- Title
Invariant Characteristics of X-Ray Fourier Syntheses.
- Authors
BOOTH, ANDREW D.
- Abstract
IT has been suggested by Bernal1 that the presence of certain variations in the intensity of the X-ray reflexions from protein crystals imposes upon the Fourier density map, which results from their combination, certain features which are to some extent independent of the particular set of phases which are associated with these amplitudes. In this note it is proposed to show how a certain 'average' picture can be obtained, and that it is derivable from a well-known form of synthesis.
