- Abstract
Effects of Microbial Metabolites on Plant-Microbe Interactions Greater understanding about the effects induced by microbial metabolites on the host plant or by the host plant on the metabolism of the associated microbes could ultimately lead to the development of new crop protection bio-formulations for improving crop quality and yields. Forty-eight hours after inoculation, I Trichoderma i induced a greater expression of defense-related genes than the calcium nitrate application, that also down-regulated expression of genes involved in plant growth and development processes.
