- Abstract
An interview with prison health unit head in France Fadi Meroueh in 2021 is presented. When asked on work differences as a doctor outside and inside prisons, he replies that doctors inside prisons are pressured into conflicting roles that make it hard to retain patient loyalty. Meroueh states that treating prisoners with infectious diseases require clean needles and syringes. He notes that continuing vigilance is needed to contain coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) transmission.
