- Abstract
The article presents a study which focuses on the development of the Global Eulerian-Lagrangian Coupled Atmospheric (GELCA) model for the simulation of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations. The GELCA model comprises a particle dispersion model and a global atmospheric tracer transport model with a global surface carbon dioxide flux maps at a 1 x 1 kilometer resolution. The application of the model for other atmospheric compounds is addressed.
