- Abstract
The article discusses a pilot program created in the city of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic designed to produce community-based protection brigades to fight against human rights violations reported against those in power providing aid to internally displaced people during climate disasters. It has been reported that displaced Dominicans relocated after storms Noel and Olga were denied access to food and medical services unless they provided sex or sexual favors in exchange for humanitarian aid.
