- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 68-year-old woman with recurrent pyogenic cholangitis. The patient underwent a left hepatectomy and a Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy. The excised specimen contained multiple intrahepatic pigmented stone and the biliary mucosa showed chronic inflammatory and fibrotic changes. Antibiotics and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) decompression are the recommended medical treatment for the disease.
