- Abstract
The article presents a study on the reactivity and specifity Aureobasidium pullulans (AP-FBG) to human sera where a structure of a unique type of 1,3-β-D-glucan was discovered. It mentions that immunoglobulin G (IgG) knew branched chains at position 6 through the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) using several glucan competitors. It concludes that the reactivity of AP-FBG to human IgG has the potential use in medicine as an immunostimulatory agent.
