- Abstract
The article explores how exogenous plasminogen affects the down-stream events resulting in hepatocyte proliferation. Results indicate that plasminogen-related control of hepatocyte proliferation is exerted topically by producing a hyperfibrinolytic state on the cellular surface involving the activation of urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA).
