- Abstract
Reports on the undercooling of nickel-20 at percent lead hypermonotectic alloy and investigates its solidification behavior over a large ranger of undercooling. Performance of the method of molten glass fluxing and recycle superheating with a high-frequency induction furnace; Use of an infrared pyrometer to monitor the thermal behavior of samples; Use of recrystallization mechanism of grain refinement to explain the fracture of the dendritic framework.
