- Abstract
Using magnesium acrylate solution as raw material, sodium persulfate-sodium bisulfite and ammonium persulfate-triethanolamine as curing systems, the effects of curing system type and dosage on curing time of magnesium acrylate solution were studied, and the effects of crosslinking agent dosage on curing time, swelling property and water swelling rate of magnesium acrylate solution were also studied. The results show that sodium persulfate-sodium bisulfite curing system has higher initiation efficiency, shorter curing time and longer curing time can be achieved by increasing the amount of oxidant and reducing agent. When the amount of oxidant is constant, the larger the ratio of oxidant to reducing agent, the shorter the curing time and the larger the swelling degree, the curing time becomes shorter. With the increase of the amount of crosslinking agent, the swelling degree and water swelling rate of the gel decrease, the larger the surface morphology of the gel, the better the waterproofing effect.
