- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of the changing landscape in developmental and psychiatric genetics citing the research study on attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in the U.S. It provides significant concepts that may help nonscientist to interpret emerging findings including heritability, polygenic disorders and gene by environment interaction. It states that patients who have ADHD diagnosis with different biological or genetic pathways may respond differently to medications.
