The article discusses the need for improving standards in the quality of legislation in Great Britain. It mentions some reforms advocated by the Great Britain Parliament House of Commons Political and Reform Committee in this context including creating a Code of legislative standards, test for identifying a constitutional bill and providing reasons for not producing the bill in draft for scrutiny. It reflects on the difficulties posed to these reform measures.
