- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 78-year-old man, who had a VVI pacemaker implanted for sick sinus syndrome and lead replacement for pacing dysfunction, was admitted for pocket infection. The transthoracic echocardiography revealed the two leads in the right atrium with hypermobile and echogenic structure suggestive of a vegetation in the mid segment. The echocardiographic appearance and positive blood cultures showed infective endocarditis of pacemaker lead.
