The article discusses various progressive arguments for religious organizational freedom in the U.S. as of April 2013, focusing on the religious aspects of liberty and the freedom of the church principle in America. A mandate from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requiring employers to cover the costs associated with contraception in employees' insurance policies is examined, along with the nation's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
