- Abstract
The authors reflect on the development of a training course in bioinformatics. They state that such a course is necessary for any biological researcher as bioinformatics is an evolving discipline. They further provide various guidelines for developing the course which include defining the training objectives, collecting information to ensure that the course meets trainees' expectations and ensuring the availability of required computers and technical support systems.
