- Abstract
The authors reflect on the pathophysiology of peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC). They discuss the improving prognosis of patients with PC of colorectal origin as well as a retrospective study to examine the overall survival in metastatic colorectal cancer. They also discuss cytoreductive surgery and heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy.
