- Authors

- Abstract
This article discusses the potential use of L-lysine as an alternative treatment for pityriasis rosea (PR), a skin condition that can be caused by the reactivation of latent viruses like human herpesvirus (HHV). The article explains that HHV-6/7, in particular, can be reactivated in association with SARS-CoV-2 or following vaccination, leading to the development of PR. Antivirals like acyclovir have been used to treat PR, but the article suggests that L-lysine may also be effective based on positive results seen in cases of PR caused by HHV-1/2. The article recommends further investigation through large-scale clinical trials to determine the efficacy of L-lysine as a therapy for PR.
