- Abstract
The article discusses a study reviewing the literature on palliative care research in long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes (NH), in Europe, using PubMed, Embase and PsychINFO databases. Few studies reporting on patient outcome data using different measurement instruments were published in ten years. Majority showed symptoms, especially pain, the most frequent measured out-come. The authors suggest more multidimensional research, high quality trails and intervention studies.
