- Title
India - en fremtidig økonomisk stormakt?
- Authors
Ruud, Arild Engelsen
- Abstract
Like China, India is currently going through a period of dramatic economic growth. In the course of 2005, India moved up to become the world's 10th largest economy. Growth rates are about 8 per cent a year in a population that is about the same size alone as almost all of Africa and Latin America together. India is particularly benefiting from globalisation forces, and this is the main reason for its economic progress. The article asks whether India could alter the balance of the global economy, rid itself of its mark as poor and chaotic, and again become the world power India once was.
